Topper for MF135

Are you asking for recommendations or just letting us know that you're getting one, or... ?
If you are after ideas then I'll also be interested as I need one for my 35X, my thoughts so far are 5ft either single rotary offset or perhaps a triple rotary type, not too fussed about the finish, just one that does a decent job with no bother.

I've PM'd the OP as I have a Fleming topper on a 135 and as he appears to be local to me I've suggested he could come and have a look. No, I am not selling, but seeing is usually better than a description and mine does a decent enough job. So far, I haven't had a reply.

Fleming make a range of toppers and some would be quite adequate for a small place. Just need to check the specification to see what the HP requirements are and whether the tractor is compatible.

I have a 6ft Wessex on mine; it's well built. If your cutting regularly the 135 has more than enough power, and could probably handle 8ft OK. Tough long grass needs a reduced speed. I don't have mulching blades, but that's also going to sap a bit more power: again though, 6ft would be no problem.

On edit: mine is a three rotor finishing mower.

This is my little outfit for paddocks and orchards. Topper is 6ft Foster single rotor, keep the blades sharp it does great job.

I use a 4ft Slewtic (single rotor) with heavy duty gearbox, on a Dexta. Robust piece of kit, sadly no longer made. Previous owner had it on a 135. I normally use it with chains, but have blades for it also.

Feels safe and manoeuvrable on the slopes; I wouldn't want anything bigger/heavier. Makes her grunt on the rough stuff too.

So I guess it depends on your ground, but you could use your 565 on the heavier stuff.

I use a 5 foot Fleming with my 135 and my Super Dexta, probably a 6 footer would be better as I think its stronger, but at the time I could only afford a 5 foot one. I cut rushes most of the time and the topper has lasted about 15 years with the odd bit of welding needed here and there, I bought it new.
