That’s the issue with my teagle 9. Buts it’s well made to take a bit of abuse in rough stuff.
Before we had a McConnell our old toose would line it up ready for baling .Doing some couple days ago that cows wouldn't eat way to much but it coped well and spread evenly.

Teagle 8 here its knackered like but always done a lovely job set very low to follow sheep grazed tight before. Teagle are a bit on the light side and the welder has been kept busy over the years. Run in the 1000 at 540 on just over tick over on 100hp to save fuel. No need for any topping yet this year as everything is TIGHT up behind grass!

Few years ago I made some high skids for our 9 foot jf front mower....worked a treat. Clean cut, no wheel marks.

We had proper topping skids for our old Lely which I'd forgotten about. They are still here somewhere and perhaps could be adapted for use with the Kuhn (y)

Cant believe no one has mentioned votex. Mine dad bought nee in the mid 1970s and has.done 200+ acres every year since then. Only ever had a few belts and blades and some steel welded to the bottom of the skids because they had worn thin. Gearbox never been touched apart from topping up the oil. It tends to blow oil out of the breather in heavy going especially rushes thats the only thing i dont like about it. Id have another tomorrow something happened to this one
