In West Cumbria you have Labour campaigning against the opening of a new deep coal mine and the Tories campaigning for it. Bonkers.

I do think this is correct, but in order to attract the mass middleclass voters, they need to remove the remnants of Corbyn's loony lefties. If Starmer can't do that he's going nowhere. Bozza has laid is stall out claiming he represents the very wealthy and the rustbelts, just like Trump did. However,in order to do this he has removed many of those traditional thinking Tories who were once the bedrock of the party, mostly with compliant drones.
