As above, if it still doesn't shift, get your mate to tap directly over the socket with the sledge as you pull.

3/4 socket , bar and scaffold pole , buzz em of with the impact wrench

Think that’s a bit more suited to taking them off than putting them back on.

We have a Spaldings one, although it’s probably not the best value for money

Funny this thread should appear. I've just realised I have a need for a torque wrench capable of 350nm and taking a 36mm socket. I only need it for once a year.

Sykes pickavent 300Nm to 1000Nm 3/4 torque wrench here. Ideal for combine, trailer and tractor row crop wheel swaps. I also learnt to move on from the 6’ bar method after a rear wheel came adrift. I use a cordless impact first and then finish with the torque bar. Wouldn’t be without it now.

Been there done that got the t shirt ! Nearly lost a floatation wheel sowing wheat on a steep field ! Only two wheel nuts left holding wheel on rest gone :nailbiting:

Try a bit of oil or grease on the threads and everything will wait tight :geek:

Ps make sure no dirt is between the wheel and hub too(y)
