I'd say there's a lot of people fed up with the way brexit has been handled, and their way of expressing the frustration is a snp vote. I'd hope if it comes to it these folks would see sense and vote no.
We don't need more years of uncertainty, get brexit sorted out, let the dust settle, and come back to the independence idea in 20 years time.

Each country of the United Kingdom has a different party as it's majority.
Scotland it is the SNP. Clearly the Tory Pollyanna's were not to inspiring to the electorate up here.
Labour in Wales with an update increase in Tories.
Northern Ireland the DUP. A super partner, but a relevance?
And dear old England is Tory and increased in numbers.

While the SNP may have a left socially supportive lean it is very far from being narrow and purely left.

Interesting. Why, specifically?

We are selling the farm (20 miles from London) and looking to farm somewhere quiet. Scotland is an option, probably Dumfries and Galloway, so I'm interested in what independence would really mean.
Scotland wants to leave the uk but join the eu!? Makes no sense. How are they going to fund an independent scotland?

As for moving here, 1 of the snps aims is centralisation. If you live in an area like me, they just remove services, like parts of the nhs and centralise them to bigger hospitals in the cities. Miles away. Snp have done nothing for my area.
They also hate landowners, especially estates. Prime example is the shooting rates tax they slapped on us. 1 local estate has to pay 30k/year!

I hope us Scots have more sense than to jump ship now. We need to give brexit a chance and wait out the generation vote imo . See how things go over coming years , if brexit is a disaster then fair enough . The snp might be enough to keep the Tories on their toes in the future north of the border without the need to crawl back to the Euro lot cap in hand

Firstly, think about learning Albanian, Romanian, and every other basket case language because Nicola wants to re-populate Scotland with hoardes of immigrants. On the other hand maybe Scotland will become the biggest basket case of them all and all the Scots will be baling out to the far corners of the world.
