I want to get away from using big bags for safety reasons i have tried to find some tote bins like these but with out success i have seen some with a remote control on the slider so for filling a drill no body is near it

We are the U.K. suppliers for the Fledbag Funnel Box tote bins, there is an option to have a remote control battery operated opener if required as well.

There a great idea. I've looked at buying them before but was far too expensive.

Need to persuade seed companies to start supplying seed in these boxes.

Big safety issues being underneath bags untying them. 🤦‍♂️
And to be able to open them remotely from the loader seat is a BIG plus
And it makes it easer in the field on ones self

I looked at these a few years ago, no doubt they are a fantastic bit of kit. However they are very expensive and take up lots of room when empty.

They are, but can you imagine how much space you need to store 150 of them all year, I guess they are better stored out of the light?

as much space as 150 bulka bags ?
but if you wanted to go that way, you could have 150 t in bulk storage & just have 5 bins ( or how ever many you need for a day ) & just refill them daily ? Or just have 1 that you fill at ground level with a bag in the paddock, in a safer more controlled situation then just use the bin to fill the seeder ?

That's what we do here, we've a few 3/4 ton bins, dad either dresses the seed straight into them while I'm sowing or he 3/4 fills a few ton bags before hand and fills the bins out of those , all done on ground level and far far safe ( yes he's still having to empty a bag which defects the safety of them a bit) and so much easier for me to climb up on the drill and pull open a slide and simply shut it again if I don't need a whole bin full rather that wrestle with a bag trying to tie it off again .

Also means we can fill the drill with the loader tractor rather than needing the telehandler to lift the bag high enough to clear the drill hopper.
