towing with 2 litre amarok

If your going to use an ifor type cattle trailer, the hitch on the trailer is only rated at 3500kg. Doesn’t matter what vehicle you have it hooked on. Even a tractor. Plus, a lot of the tow ball pins that people fit to their tractor are rated less than the amorak.
this 32mm one is only rated at 3 tonne.

They haven't made a balls up of any of their pickups so far so the omens are good. They do sell literally millions of pickups worldwide. In a normal year they sell nearly a million F150 in the USA alone, plus other models such as the Super Duty F250 and Ranger.
Watched a you tube video this morning camparing pickups, Usuall thing , various diffrent drag races , then a brake test. The offerings where a Vw, Ranger(210hp),a Merc and V8 F150.
The Vw Was best at all the tests by a long way. The Ranger was slowest by a long way on acceleration.
The Brakes on the F150 where scary, taking almost twice as long stopping as the vw to stop.

Not it’s own speed limit. It’s very good but not is good the country gives it its own law! 😉 Due to weight, it is restricted to 50 on a single carriage way, 60 on a dual carriage way and 70 on an M class road

Isn't the Amarok one of those with it's own speed limits?
In fact from researching, it seems only the DMax and L200 aren't (?)
When I looked into this years ago I am not sure how it is inforced as the V5 does not even give that information, they need to see the plated stuck on the vehicle to see how fast you can go, BUT there are certain makes that all are overweight what ever the version... eg the ranger at one point could be either way.

Best towing vehicle I've ever owned. The fendt of pickups.
I can't understand why you can only get a V6 now! I've never thought the 2 litre was short of power, but a salesman told me anything less than a v6 is no good and he would know.
Unfortunately I have no desire to own a 3l V6 at £30k plus so I will have to try a Ford ranger next.

Had a 2.0 Amarok for 3 years on a lease. Swapped that for the V6 (first inclanation 225bhp) now in its last 12 months on the present lease. Both tow well but the v6 is really good.
I’ve already been told it’ll be highly unlikely I can lease another v6 as production is ceasing so stock levels will be low so I’ve a dilemma. I just don’t like the rangers though.

From reading what people say I think I’m gonna get a amarok as my next daily / farm truck, will be around a 2016 and a 2 litre, what would be best manual or auto?

Auto all the way. You won't regret going for amarok, I chopped in a 13reg L200 (bought new) and bought a 2016 2L one, what a pleasure to drive glued to the tarmac unlike the dancing around of the L200
