Okay we have a 2015 Toyota hi lux. Its previous body style.

What is the max weight I can pull with it? I'm looking at buying a piece of farm machinery that weighs 2550kg. I'm going to look at it and would rather haul it home myself if any good. Would save 1k pound haulage bill.

I've looked online and can't find anything definitive. With the trailer it would weigh 3450kg.

It's in south Wales and quite large, so I fully expect to be pulled over at some point when towing it.

Also have a x5 but it looks to be 2700kg max weight to pull.

There are plenty figures on the web. Your plate or handbook will list the weights. 3200 or 3500 depending on model. Gross train weight may be an issue at 3500kg. Just don't have 3 heavy passengers.i went to a VOSA course and they talked about distance limits of 100km if gross weight something like 3t otherwise you need tacho. Plenty cattle going further to markets every day

Out of curiosity why will a haulier want £1000?
