We need US Toyota Tacoma with v8s

Good point! Toyota are playing the "save the planet" card in Europe with shitty wee engines, while in America:

2017 New Toyota Trucks
Without the right truck, you're just spinning your wheels. Check out the new Toyota trucks and you'll find they’re tough outside and tough to beat inside. Tacoma has a powerful available V6, plus a handsome interior and steering wheel-mounted controls, so you can keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road. Toyota Tacoma new truck models include the Access and Double cab. Or check out the Tundra. It doesn’t just work harder, it works smarter. This new truck has the muscle to cut big jobs down to size and Dual Independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) that makes it as efficient as it is powerful. Choose from the muscular 5.7L V8 or the strong 4.6L V8 and find a new truck that works for you.

The baby Land Cruiser has the most powerful Diesel engine today that it has ever had. The only potent alternative, which was available here at one time I think, but did not sell, was the V6 petrol with the engine from the Camry. Again the Camry sells in massive volumes in the USA but has long bombed in the UK.

Could they not find someone with a little zing to do that video....
At least the boss wasn't there to bitch about leather and its unsustainability and cows being killed especially and specifically in order to produce leather. Be thankful for small mercies.
Obviously the presenter isn't familiar with the baby LC or he'd know how little has actually changed with the body. A scalloped bonnet and new rearmost seats doth not an exciting new model make.

They both count. Hence pickups with five seats and windows all around are commercial vehicles.

To be pedantic, there are car derived vans... Fiesta, (can go at car speeds) dual purpose.....Ranger, (can go at car speeds if not too heavy) , and light goods, ....Transit connect up to top spec transit, cannot go at car speeds) all are commercial for VAT and road taxation.

Genius, I was referencing YOUR own post !:p

It's a 2.8 litre and Euro6 compliant

That's the point

I doubt they will fit it
Just launched a beefed up new Invincible X for 2018 and that has the 2.4 engine fitted

2.4 is enough they say

Had a good look at one today - very tempting for the following reasons

Just had a look at the new Landcruiser Utility commercial as an alternative to the Hilux
Looks good
Comfort is better and cabin roomier for driver and passenger
2.8 engine
Permanent full time 4wd (like a Defender)
Manual only at present
Similar price to a new 2.4 Hilux Invincible at £24/25k + Vat
I don't need the load bed of a DC pickup or 3 extra rear seats and towing capacity is 3tonne instead of 3.5 tonne
Available as a 3door SWB or 5door LWB - both only 2 seats though

Might trade the Hilux in for one in Sept

Having looked at various commercial options again recently, you just cant beat the value for money a double cap pickup can offer.

I considered the alternatives to a pickup as most of the time its only me in it, and i dont need the extra seats, but for the same money as the landcrusier which is basic spec, you can have a top of the range pickup, with accessories, and still have some change left over.

Also there isnt much choice when it comes to non-pickup based 4x4 commercialsin the uk, its a shogun or a Landcrusier, and both are now getting a bit long in the tooth, and current models just seem to be revamped old models to meet euro 6 regs.

Cowabunga will approve of the permanent 4wd (as opposed to the part time on car LC versions)

Similar to a Landie with that feature

Should make a nether tow vehicle than a DC pickup too
