Tractor driving test

As part of the test does he not have to learn what he can and cannot now carry and drive?
He had to know his Highway Code and answered several questions on that. We can find details on restrictions on width of tractor and towed trailer but no mention of any implements carried on the three point linkage. As Phil P suggests an implement would probably have to be no more than 2.45m wide as well.

Thanks. I think all of that still applies except that if the tractor has a factory fitted seat a 16 yr old can now go on the road to practice with a suitable adult and L plates before a test.
Still unsure what, if anything, he can carry on the hydraulics on the road having past his test.
Just carried on reading my book, get some more pictures for .

I thought the passenger seat or instructor seat to give it its correct name, is illegal to use on the road? They’re are only meant to be used off road for driver training? Certainly was the case back in early 2000’s . Wasn’t aware it had changed

Crazy that they don't explain to them what they now can and cannot do

I was always very good at making 1+1=3! Can probably only go on road with L plates and ‘instructor’ on passenger seat when learner is 17.

Apparently youngsters have been failing on emergency stops. A friends daughter was warning us 😁
The test is about 3/4 hour

3/4 hour! Mine took about ten minutes. Farmyard to pub car park and back again about 4 times-and don't run down the examiner when he steps out in front of you Mind you, that was 1974!

Is the tractor test the only test where you are prohibited from practicing beforehand?

Imaging if the first time you were allowed to drive a car/bus/truck on the road was to take your test!

Absolutely not!
a 16 year old can only drive on a road on a provisional licence, to from and during the test. There is no provision for a Companying passenger.
