Tractor hydraulic pumps and oil capacity..

'Why o why' do tractor manufacturers continue to fit weezie little oil pumps and have such poor oil capacity as standard.
Just mated my newly purchased, previous enjoy tractor to one of our 16 ton trailers and even with the oil beyond the extra max on the sight gauge, it was still unable to fully extended the twin Rams and lift the hydraulic rear door, with out running out of oil.
Poor poor poor.

Because if tractors did have such a useful oil capacity, then everyone would just rant about the amount they have to change instead :)

Yeah, probably a good point. Once off warranty though i doubt many change oils by the book. With twice the oil you maybe change it half as often no? Plus you'd get the trailer empty without breaking the pump :)
