Fendt already know, but there not going to shave 20 to 30 k of there machines to bring it in line with kubuta, Fendt are in a league of there own, its a premium product, JD are loosing customers to Fendt, so watch the gap get smaller.
Fendt are giving as much trouble as any other make , the only differance is the repair bill is a lot higher for the fendt , probably top of the table for high repair cost . I know a few contractors who have moved away from fendt .

I would say the gap is more than 20-30k. How much is 716 or 718 of reasonable spec now?

Thats because most contractors stick 18 to 25 year old on them, the tractors are then tramped to death, you ask most owner drivers, they will tell you they are reliable tractors, when driven correctly

Oooh my word you'll set the cat among the pigeons with inflammatory talk like that. Don that tin hat. Incoming!!
I just spent 2 days in Germany, trip to fendt factory, i chatted to at least 2 farmers who are ditching jd for fendt, There reasons jd dealership had got to complacent , they tried to charge to much for a certain tractor, There are a lot of die hard jd fans but they are coming around:ROFLMAO:

And how does the driver make the engine blow up .
you never said the reason, there has been an issue with the 800 and 900 engines, but they have resolved that, something about bores to smooth, to complicated for me, when you see them being made, the attention to detail is mind blowing, I suppose there will always be a few that are not easily impressed

Plenty of 700 have had engine trouble as well, drinking far too much oil

Blimey JD must be quaking in their boots because they are only 2960 units ahead of Fendt.....with a 30%+ market share against 5.7%
Interestingly the market has dropped by around 10%.........JD sales have fallen by 8.5% and Fendt have dropped by 15%.
In contrast Kubota have achieved sales growth of close to 28%., so watch this space.
In all honesty Fendt will always be a "Premium Brand" as you call it, but I will be surprised if they ever achieve more than 10 or 12%, because its not in their interest. The law of supply and demand says that as more second hand of a particular brand comes onto the market that resale values will fall.......then the "attraction" of buying something that is a premium price over its main stream competitors becomes less attractive, and unjustifiable.

Had two Honda ATC250ESF's here ,last one was replaced with a TRX400 that 20 years old now, for most jobs just use a CTX200 , rather than buy a gator most people would be better off with a ROPS MF 135.
Do not argue with this man
20 years of riding a TRX400, he'll have arms that'll break you like a twig[emoji123] [emoji123] must say my SxS is hardly ever used in favour of the CTX, unless the rain is driving in
