It's not that difficult to understand, no?
Oh dear. We’d only score 5, and only because the pub is within walking distance

We score highly with the mobile home, pub 4G & wifi, ( the caravan is hooked up to a biomass boiler) but what happens when you ask
"You will also be required to work with livestock"

I think shiny tractors is a good way to advertise for young staff. Lets face it a lot of these farm/contracting jobs want young folk with no commitments, able to work mega hours or sit at home when its raining.
A shiny Fendt, distracts you from the long hours, and low pay, as well as the potentially, poorly maintained, possibly overloaded, trailer on the back that you're asked to speed with on the road 18 hours a day.

What would some of these grain farmers say if their summer student only took legally loaded, covered trailers up the road at 40kph?
Now I'm old, those are probably the questions Id ask, rather than , how new is the Fendt.

chain of responsibility here, the farmer / owner / employer is legally responsible for the poor maintenance, overloaded speeding trailers . . .
If it all turns to sh!t, it ends with whoever is at the top.

I know a fella who has a business in Sydney. He owns a farm at Moree, which his brother manages. An Irish backpacker climbed into the grain bin of a header ( combine ) while unloading & got entangled in the auger.
If the machine was faulty, causing the accident, the Sydney man was potentially liable as he was owner.

It is the drivers responsibility to refuse to operate such equipment . . .

If it's well maintained and comfy then that would be good enough. Hours, age and brand wouldn't play a part for me.

Give these people, who want a shiny new Fendt an hour on an old D6 Dozer. Rattling around a chalk pit. Then they might think that a 2008 6930 isnt that bad after all 😁😂.

Haha - I spent a lot of hours in my early 20’s ( in the early 90’s ) doing night shift on a D6SA ( it was an old tractor even then ) pulling deep rippers & other tillage equipment, because no one else really wanted to drive it. 🤣
I loved that rattly noisy old tractor, just as long as the AC kept working 👍

The 1999 D6R where I work has done about 13000 hours. Just had new tracks and a blade overhaul.

Spends alot of time in the chalk pit which is hard going on it as it rattles and shakes alot. The AC packed up a couple of years ago sadly (still waiting to sort it) 🥵.

I was out on a muck shift Job and the exhaust stack decided it was time to give up and fall off. That was a loud, hot week waiting for the new one to turn up. 😂😂
