Tractor Tyres - Found, looking for owner!

I hope it's all right to post here; I'm not a farmer and the last time I worked on a farm I was about 19...

Yesterday we got up to find two enormous 52" tractor tyres had been delivered to our house and left outside the door, with no despatch note or documents, or even an address label, though they were wrapped in black plastic.

We live in a residential street and have no idea where they came from nor what to do with them.

I've rung every local farm I can get hold of, and all the tyre distributors and farm machinery places around here (East Kent) and haven't come up with anything.

They seem quite good tyres - they are Mitas AC70G, 495/70, don't look particularly well used, and I reckon someone's ordered them and they've just got the delivery address wrong.

So I thought I'd see if anyone here might know of someone who is missing their tyres.

If so please let me know!

Many thanks

Heard of this happening a few times around here where people just find deliveries in their gardens etc.
Not even simular sounding addresses?
These days of all tracking etc.how does it happen?
Throw it off to get home maybe??

Indeed... it's one of the oddest things that's ever happened to us! I've searched for a note or something, but all I've got is the serial number labels inside the tyres. Mitas haven't got any record of our address and can't help - they are second hand so it's hard to think where to begin. I've looked at used tyre sites to see if I can find them in sold listings, also checked ebay, etc.

It's a mystery - and they must have arrived between about 10.30pm and 7.30 in the morning, which is when we found them (couldn't get out the door!!)

I should say in case it's relevant that they have been spray painted white at some point, which is coming off. But there are still the little moulding thingies all over them - as I say pretty good condition

Are they damaged or just fly tipped?
Get them sold on ebay maybe??
52inch?? too big for farming usually ?
£1300 each on google???

Good ideas both... thanks. I feel a bit wary of getting rid of them just yet in case someone turns up having realised they've delivered them to the wrong place and wants them back.

One of them has some damage, we've just realised - a bit of a cut to a couple of the ridges. The rest looks sound and the other one is fine.

Any cctv about to track lorry or van etc?

Lincs Lass - that is a fair point! I'd still rather they went to the rightful owner, but they can't stay here for ever so we might just wait a few weeks then give them to the local wildlife/adventure playground place or bung them on ebay.

Many thanks for all your thoughts.
