Hi everyone, new here, so be gentle!! 😂
Looking to upgrade our 6930, it’s been a fantastic machine! We could do with a little more hp! What are people’s thoughts on a mid-teens 6175r?? This looks to me as the answer to our prayers 😂 I have heard there be fuel issues with earlier 6r machines??
thanks 😊

Personally wouldn’t bother with the 6175R it’s a big tractor for the hp! I’d get a 6195R price difference will be negligible same size chassis and another 20hp.
I have a 6215R and quite happily do 16h days without feeling fatigued.

Got a 65 plate 6175r ap and pulls well, lugs 20t of wagon and silage around fine, lovely to drive, replaced a 6420 and demoted a claas 630 from wagon tractor and it’s twice the tractor compared to the 630 which I am sure has the same block as a 6930?

I’ve been looking at swapping a 6155 for a 6195 and I worked out the house per ton and a 6155r had more hp per ton than a 6195r so I’d say you’d be disappointed with a 6175 going from a 6930

Well I've been watching a guy on youtube who is replacing his JD because the arm rest is dated, the computer is dated, the speakers don't work and there is no apple car play in the JD. The machine to have, I am reliably informed, is a Case Puma, which does have apple car play.

He needs thrashing with an ash plant, or sent to top pony paddocks with a flail and cabless Nuffield.

I saw that but I thinking he is aiming at young folk and is also almost thinking aloud, as it were.

he obviously has another source of income other than farming, what does he do

Looking for a sponsored tractor me thinks. More chance of a sponsored Case than JD

Ah yes, I didn’t think about that, that’s something worth considering.

A 6175R would be a sideways step rather than an upgrade on a 6930 I believe. Go bigger or remap yours

Yes I think you’ve got a point, it’ll be probably better to go for the 195r.

Get it tuned...
I recommend Allen, he worked wonders on my tractors when I wanted more power.

6175rs, up to 215rs... I know of multiple tractors that have broken the inner rear wheel bearings. They fit koyo inner bearings and timken on the outer bearings and the dry sumping is an absolute joke. More like outer bearing is splash lubricated. This in turn wears out the transmission pump on the ivt like 20 series did.

Get the wheel bearings measured up if you are buying secondhand.

Long story short.. there is still an issue with jd and poor quality bearings. Do you home work and make sure you get stuff checked before you purchase.

Do you think all brands have been cutting corners equally in the last decade or two, or are deere worse?
It seems like the list is endless.
My maintenance costs on 3 deeres are astronomical.
I have 3 older deutz tractors that run an equal amount of hours and they cost about 10% per hour to maintain of the cost on my deeres. But they are from an earlier period, where problems was significantly less than on more modern models.
