Friend of mine had a 1210 stop when driving on the road started fine after cooling of and he went on home. Turned out the previous owner had a valve drop which they had sorted but didn't replace a piston which must have been damaged and got gradually worse over time, new piston and problem solved

Try stopping on a slope. Then let her run down hill in gear, lift the clutch & see if she starts. Or try a tow start.
If all is well it will be the starter or battery cables at fault.
That works if you have a hill, just concerned if she has gone tight con rods may be bent,

If it starts again in 5 minutes it can’t be that hot. even if temp gauge was not working etc you could smell if an older tractor like that was running hot enough to start damaging something and you would know it by standing next to the engine and feeling the heat. I’ve had enough oldish tractors on dyno to feel the heat and smell.

I don't understand why 15/40 has become the dirty word in engine oils lately I have and still do use it a lot in engines and never had an issue most issues are caused through not changing it regally enough in my experience .15/40 was the go to oil most diesel's trucks vans tractors all mine for 30 years have had it then when longer service intervals became the fashion the oils changed and so did the price

Chances are a million to one that the lighter oil had anything to do with this from what I see. Four things that point to this being a starter side issue, not a locked up engine. It was shut off, didn't seize up running. It was on a light load. Oil pressure was fine. Coolant didn't blow off.

If it was hot enough to seize, it would be cracking and popping, smoking everywhere, sizzling off any coolant dripping back into the engine.

maybe not if an oil sieze.
True, but what are the chances a bearing spun and locked up at the moment it was shut down. Or the piston was hot enough to stop it from cranking but hadn't got hot enough to seize it while running, that could happen easily enough, just not very likely on an engine that the only thing odd seems to be that it just had lighter oil put in it.
