Tractoring - Calebs Aircon fan

Hay making season hopefully not too far away and MF 3080 2WD gets a bit hot.
I see Caleb has an In cab fan mounted in his Class tractor, are they any use ?? And secondly any recommendations for buying one ??

Trouble is you are just shunting hot air around, if you have not got air con. But it will help a bitwhen you start sweating

I wired 2 of them fans up in a case 4210 that has a cab like a greenhouse, they are metal 12v and were less than £30 the pair off eBay, they make a massive difference in it. Definitely not like having air con of course but I’m impressed, they seem good enough quality for the money.

Not especially effective. Like alot of Claas Axions, Kalebs a/c has broken :-p

Drove a Claas once where every time you even flashed the lights, the air con would go off and turn warm blow on and it would stay on for a good 10 minutes till it went cold again. It was always a race to get things done by dark!

Had one in a forklift and it did help.
Not nice if you get a fly in the cab, and it goes through it, and spits the remnants at you !

A friend had a Maradyne one in his bulldozer, it could shift some air but my god it was a noisy little thing. You'd swear each time it was switched on it was going to come away from it's tek screws and take off.

Fan in a non A/C cab is like being fan baked in an oven. Better than nothing though.
