All tractors are crap, Large lump of metal sitting on hard rubber. Old 785xl and straw chopper is a liability on ice. What your towing will be heavier too and you will have the extra mass X speed to worry about

3 years ago I had a near one on the main road. Pulled over into a layby and slowed Puma on the exhaust brake, big mistake as it was only one axle out of 4 braking.

Go canny and use the verge if you need to or take another route.

The modern technology on our Ranger pickup is amazing where using low box feet off the pedals it's like a sledge but hill decent really works.

Is it just me that finds modern tractors with big low ground pressure tyres are useless on ice?
Just had a moment coming down our lane. Only about 5 mph but had to brake as a car was stuck further down the hill. The tractor just carried on and got faster but luckily spun round till a tyre got on the verge and stopped it. I think our car is safer!
Did have in high gear .?
