Pasquali ergo 8.80 alpine tractor. Theoretically a proper little tractor with all the features of a big one, but in a low, equal wheeled, you can't turn me over sort of frame that was meant to be good in the woods.

In reality an unrelenting nightmare that broke every, and I do mean every, time it was used. Trying to fix it was even worse as being fully reverse drive it had twice the number of controls and assorted gubbins in a quarter of the space. The back end filler, for instance was a side on grub screw hidden under/behind the handbrake in literally the least user friendly place. Getting in and out involved basically dislocating your ankles as you trapped your feet in the reverse drive pedals which were rather less than a foot behind the forward ones. Even when it was working, an hour in it was more than enough.

Literally danced a jig when it disappeared up the farm drive.

GHL mounted strawchopper, would take 10 minutes for even the best wheat straw bale to go through it, bale 1” too big and it wouldn’t feed as would wedge in drum, 1” too small and it wouldn’t turn in the drum, knives horrendous to change, guaranteed farmers lung who ever had the misfortune of using one!

Massey 3095 which was sold to us as a direct replacement for a 2645 which had a Dowdeswell DP7D 5 furrow reversible on the back. Who in the design team thought Cat 3 lower links would pair with a Cat 2 top link needed a serious talking to...... snapped more top links than I care to remember thankfully never on the road! 3095 stayed a year to be replaced with a more substantial offering from JD.
Massey 525 combine the most horrendous pile of junk .... you only had to look at it for it to break down.... was on finance and returned after the first season with a replacement sent FOC for the next season, a 625 which was slightly more reliable!
I knew someone with 3 of those combines "Rubbish" and "Cheap" were the words he used to describe them ( Among others!)

Just goes to show how machines can be different, had a 3095 and wish I'd never sold it, lovely tractor, absolute cracker. Also had a 525 combine, mine never broke down but eventually got replaced, don't miss the lack of a cab.
