This, the lead tractor was a brand new 6250r - one of the first in Britain.

It was delivered straight from the factory in Germany, given a polish up by the Sherriff team and then brought to the castle to lead our Grand Parade.

It was driven by Xander Donald who lost his father-in-law to MND earlier this year.

Doddie's eldest son, Hamish, rode shotgun with Xander most of the way round.

I think they were both almost overwhelmed when they got into Lauder and saw the crowds lining the streets.

Many of the drivers commented on how emotional it was, as did a lot of people who turned out to watch.
