Trailed slug pelleter

How do, thinking of making a trailed unit to mount slug pelleter on , to go behind quad. Found a couple of old threads that have been useful but was wondering if anyone had anymore photos or improvements to theirs and how they are standing the test of time? Probably would just be single axel but possibly a tandem if it would improve stability. Cheers T.I.A

Quad IW trailer with Stocks.jpg

Four years on, this is still going strong. A day on muddy clay wiped the mudguards off & the quad was nicked in August but the pelleter is still doing well. In the front of the trailer there's 3 x 75 Ah leisure batteries to run the pelleter, though I will swap that to the quad bike battery when I get the next one. The start up power requirement is pretty high but if you build the disc speed up gradually max current use in work is around 9 amps which the quad alternator should be able to provide. I have some very steep slopes and the 420 cc quad pulled it ok up, down and across the slopes though you wouldn't want a full hopper and no extra weight on the bike for traction, so I add bags a couple at a time from the quad. The trailer cost about £700 new and has its own torsion bar suspension.

Thanks, been running ours off atv battery for a long time now. Dont have a trailer such as that to mount a pelleter on but like the idea of dual purpose. Dont normally do alot in a day and bike does other jobs so just trying to save wear on rack and lifting on and off

This was originally a single axle trailer, but it bounced a lot on rough ground. The weight in the bottom improved this, but adding the rocking axle has eliminated it completely. More recently we have mounted the battery on the chassis, so only need to have the wires to the contol box looped onto the bike. It is easy to detatch and the pelleter is far enough away from the operator so you don't look like a smurf after a days pelleting. It is also a lot lighter than a Gator if conditions are damp. We spread at 25Kmh and 20 metres, so cover the ground very quickly.
