Apologies for the awful edit but always thought this would be a good idea.

Thoughts 🤔

Great idea. We had one on demo and it was too heavy for our current tractor. I've had a price for a new tractor and 6m drill but am still recovering from the shock! I think I'd have to plant the whole farm 3 times each season to justify it

Good bit of kit but it will add to price to make it trailed.

Would add money onto the cost but can then be used on a much smaller tractor saving money I guess.

We have a 2014 sabre as our main drill and although it is heavy does a brilliant job in nearly all conditions and works very well on our heavy clay.

I see they have now made an official front tank/toolbar version so surely that would get round the weight issue
Yes I have seen that, looks a very well balanced machine with the front tank. In my opinion I prefer having the seed tank as close to the tines as it can reducing the lag time from the seed dropping out of the metering unit to leaving the seed tube of that makes sense. Front tanks have a tendency to sprinkle seed out for a while. Also more of an inconvenience when you want to hitch up and get drilling quickly.

love the mock-up! I’d imagine weaving would be able to barstewardise a trailed GD frame without too much bother? Might cost you a bit to get the machine you want but what’s new there?

The sabre tine is better mounted if going for late drilling due to grass weeds. I wouldn’t want to be dragging any drill around in November and why we swapped from a Sprinter with Vos tines to a mounted tine drill.
