id put in 8mm, it id outlast the trailer, for the extra few quid it id be the last time youd need to do it.
do it once do it right.
or 6mm 355 structural steel, youl get it in varying sizes and widths, 6 &12m long, it would nearly be harder than the 8mm ms, it will wear a lot better too.
but thats just what id do.

I'm thinking of putting in a new floor in a grain/ muck trailer. I thought about bending two ridges up the length to strengthen it a bit. Anyone got a trailer with this, would it hinder the muck sliding out?

Nay I would not do that put more cross bars underneath would be much better plus a thicker plate all make it last forever longer.

This I would also like a decent answer to. There are loads of different specs for sheet/plate. Pressure plate, hot rolled are the main two which come to mind. There are different specs within these. When you ask for plate you’re probably getting hot rolled 275 (can’t remember the BS EN number off top of head). Could go for 355, which will be stronger, but does the different. Composition make it better for corrosion, I don’t know.
