Trailer plug problems

What does everyone find re. Trailer plug electrics? My new truck has a 13 pin connection and initially I thought it would be more secure and robust but the wiring seems to have gone haywire for the second time this year! I thought the bloody 7 pin ones were bad enough! When are they going up come up with an answer!

It's not rocket science is it? When will somebody make something that will stand a bit of robust 'agricultural use'?

When you get the answer let me know.

Trailer makers and vehicle builders are anal sphincters. It would not take more than a couple of quid with their buying power to fit marine grade connectors to their products. Having worked on trawlers and used connections ten years old exposed to continual salt water I can tell you complex fitting exist that will not fail in months.
Since most trailer fitment is generally an option on trucks it is penny pinching even on extras that shows them for the robbing barstewards that they are.
