Trailer problems!

Hi, After some advice, I had a brand new lorry drawbar trailer made to my spec and took delivery in August 21, I had the whole trailer made and galvanised as it should last my life time! Inspected it last week and have found 6 cracks in it and number 7 imminent! They have said they will take it back and plate it all up but I’m not happy as I now only have a 1/2 galvanised trailer, what would others do? Thanks

Replacement made stronger. Or full refund. No other choice. I would not accept repairs, never be right.

I won’t say at the moment as it’s early days

I think they are being very fair. For all they (or we) know you may have totally abused it for 3 months.

This is a £33k trailer that’s done 30 load of straw, it looks like the day it was new, it’s not running anywhere near its design weight carrying straw!

Must be poor bales in you are not run at the max weight with straw nowadays , drawbar trailers can crack I have welded up a lot over the years , Irish man ones are the worst for it

Drawbar trailers need to flex , Straw is hard to move because it is so high , it makes them flex & twist alot

It’s a crack in the main chassis rail weld and 5 down the side rails

Is it a 3 axle trailer on 22.5 tyres ?

3 axle on 17.5s

Our other trailer of a different make has done 1.2million kms and 11 years old and not a crack on it
