Has any one heard of the requirement to carry one of the above for a ivor williams type trailers.
Someone local was pulled by traffic cop and told that one must be carried with the trailer at all times.

Stupid copper. Even commercial trailers of this size don't need plating like HGV trailers do.

If you're using it for business, perhaps some maintenance records would be good from a Health & Safety point of view but for road laws there's no requirement.

Our Graham Edwards trailer went to the factory for a service last month and came back with this sticker on it

The only thing alot of car size trailers should have is the lights working correctly ,,some you have to be a mind reader to know which direction they are going ,,put indicators on and the brake lights flash or nothing comes on

Or trailer board on upside down ..............

mot for trailers ! they are already supposed to be road worthy for the road . we keep asking for the red tape in the industry to be cut and here you wanting more .
That is true but like I said there are a lot of dodgy trailers on the road. Some of them never get any maintainence or repairs from one year to the next. Just imagine how many unfit cars would be on the road if there was no annual test.
