But where do you drill to, when I've ploughed into the field I go around very slowly with power Harrow so I can drill to fence, when ploughed out, I dont bother just drill right to edge.
I just drill to where there's soil. If ploughed in like you say I'm very close to fence. Ploughed out, just run to first furrow.

As you said, the edge of the field doesn't move. The fence is in same place weather ploughed in or out.

Does the edge of your field not move?

Depending on if headlands ploughed in or out. If I did that I'd end up with a half m. Missed all way round field. :banghead:
Not really as all field boundaries are imported onto guidance systems so should be running Off the same boundary lines/drill track etc

How do you record field boundaries?

I just use tractor. Its width 3m. On my intelliview iv cnh gps it seems to get confused when I come in with a implement a different width to one used to record boundary.

We have recorded the headland tramline and put in different widths depending what machine we have on, eg 9m drill headlands are drilled inside out 3 times round so first two runs are 4.5m either side of recorded track and last run would be 13.5m (in reality it’s about 13.2m with what sticks out the side of the drill) that’s with green star. The NH combines have the same track saved in them but instead of changing track width we just remark it as the way we cut the headlands there is never a full 9m at the hedge.

I map them as and when needed with tractor, new land or margins put in or taken out etc, save all the fields onto memory stick then upload onto the other tractors. The trimble automatically nudges your headland line to correspond with implement width
