Transmission Oil High Temp Indicator

JD 6600 here & had the opposite issue a few weeks back with the low temp light flashing but got it sorted with some great advice from the guys on here

Tractor on dump trailer for past 2 days and high-temp light started winking late yesterday evening. Checked oil level this morning and all OK ( oil & filters changed in past 6 weeks) but light came on again once started but went off after 5 mins. Hooked on agitator & mixed 2 tanks with no issue, however light has come on permanently after 2 loads of slurry so I have her parked up.

I'm going to main dealer on Mon to get a new sensor as ye guys said they can tend to be sensitive. Any other idea's?? A quick inspection doesn't reveal anything obvious and oil itself doesn't seem overly hot.

TIA.........

Hi is the tran oil level way over full as this can cause the overheating issue?. Is there an SCV valve jammed on so the hydraulic pump is in stroke?.

Do you have temp gun so you can test weather the temp is actually high or if its a incorrect reading from the sensor or wiring issue etc?.

if it's like a valtra hot is hot and you can't put hand any were near back end think valtra is 105-110 dC when it says it's hot and dose not want to play any more
mine was a spool valve by passing and heated trans oil ... a blocked oil cooler if working hard will heat them up too

I could be wrong, not being a jd man, but know of a man who was having bother with his 6630 on a power harrow with i think the same bother. I think, though memory aint great it was caused by an airlock in the pipes to the cooler, Not 100% sure on the cure but think it was simple as loosen a coupling or two to let the air out. could maybe find out if you have no luck?
