….has run out, looks a right pia to get a new one, form to fill in but they also need to see a certificate of competence which fortunately Ive somehow managed to find, but this has to be sent ‘in block form’ so have to apply to them to get it changed before I can apply!

You need to put down a lot of wrong answers to pass as well.

"Lambs with lesions on thier lips are most likely to have: A. Foot and Mouth disease" ...

Seems like F+M is a lot more common than we ever thought.... (Orf was not an option on the paper I sat, what a load of carp)

Happened to me, sent the wrong one so they sent it back and asked for the right one. What is the cost of a staff member doing that over and over again for no useful purpose.

I renewed mine a while back had to get a copy certificate for the test then they couldn’t produce another certificate for the authorisation so I had to get another thing in the meantime incase anyone asked for it what a farce

Mine had been run out for two years but I managed to find this...

.... that they gave me when I did the Mickey Mouse test, all those years ago.
I just rang them up and they emailed me an up to date one 👍

Not that I'll ever use the perishing thing as I've been in markets the length and bredth of the country and not once has anybody asked to see it.....

...... and I've never put the number on an AML 1 form so much as once.

Total waste of time.

I was once asked during a Trading Standards inspection what I would do with a dead sheep ? I replied it would go to the kennels.
But how ?
I would take it in the car. This apparently was the correct answer and not in a trailer which could leak.
What paperwork would I take with me ?
I didn't think I needed a movement form ?
Correct, but if you were stopped on the way to the kennels by say, the Police who asked you who the dead sheep belonged to you would need a piece of paper, perhaps just handwritten, stating the reason for your journey.
I've never been asked for that either.

You really should get a trailer with a roof over it - you'd be a bit less inconspicuous...

Seriously though, trading standards??.. The mart??.. Some other dog's body??

Did you have it with you?

You're the first I've ever heard of.

I was asked for it at Carlisle in May... because I had travelled 41miles 🤦🏻‍♂️

Didn't have it so was told to get it. So there's £95 I won't get back and I bet I'm never asked again 🙄

But that's the certificate of competency... What's this transport authorisation? Same thing?

The transport authorisation is off the animal health lot you just apply for it and they send you it
