Tri Axle v Twin Axle

12ft wheels outside for us, a 14 would be nice but we've got a few gateways off narrow lanes you'd just never get one in - the 12 is bloody tight enough.
I can vouch for this! I simply couldn't use a 14' because it wouldn't get to where I need it maybe 40% of the time - of course, wider gateways would solve that, but it would be a horrible thing to see...

I've tri axle porter trailer.. I order it 13ft... at the time.. wouldn't be without it... feels the same to pull when full as empty... but definitely would go tri again... better on the road..

2nd gamic In 2 Years....

Another vote for Gamic. On our second, now, moving from a 10ft to a 12 ft tri axle and have been very pleased with both.Smooth on the road and build strength that ,imo,is far superior to any of the opposition. Just got back ,this morning ,from taking 53 lambs to the abattoir and I reckon the tri axle runs better than the previous twin on the road.

I had a 12ft ifor twin axle with wheels underneath and upgraded to a 14ft ifor triple axle with wheels underneath.
New one tows much better and doesn’t wobble as much. Would not go back to twin axle.

Got a tri axle 14ft Gamic approx 10 yrs old now. In the winter there are very few days I haven't got the trailer on moving stock around. Thought about changing it 4 yrs ago but had it refurbished instead for a fraction of the cost ,new springs ,brakes ,rewired . The wheels are on the outside making it a tad tight for a bull to turn around . Use a 10' ifor Williams as well for smaller amounts of stock and a 24' cattle box behind tractor for large amounts of cattle . With the triaxle Gamic you have to be careful approaching roundabouts with a full load on as it will want to push the pick up straight on .

Well he moved up to a 12ft, so I reckon he f**ked up :ROFLMAO:

Our neighbors have about 1/3 the ewes I do, and a 10ft trailer. We work together at times and I've lost count how many times they say they wish they'd bought a 12ft.

So much so they bought a float for behind the tractor last year
There just something else I can get nearly 3 times as much in box than Ifor and I'm still legal and like the gamic I've a lifting deck very tempted to swap Ifor for a gamic but got other stuff on list 1st

It's about time trailers were fitted with proper brakes activated when you apply the vehicle brakes. Then we could maybe get an increase in legal gross weight
