Tricky Sheep move...

Update...So I had a go today. 5 of us and a dog on lead. Couldn't even get them out of my field 🙈. They had never been through the bridle gate before and most stalled. Then it all went tits up.
A second try with myself pushing them too (not carrying bucket) and worse. They know me too well.
Even if we got them through the next field it would have been chaos. The lambs are too random.
So I am now looking for a local pro with 2 dogs. Maybe that will work. It would only be 4 journeys a year.
Also I may ask my neighbour if I can temporarlily fence a small patch in his field so they get used to going through the gate...that would be a start.
Flock of 80 with no dog is beginning to seem a bit silly..

If they are not used to dogs it may not work so well.
As above, leave the gate open, wait for the leader to go through - there will be one to start - then chase the rest up. Surely will be a greedy one to follow a bucket? The lambs will tend to scatter a bit but will want to find their mothers.

A man/woman with One good dog would do the job.
Depends how old the lambs are surely? If very young ewes will keep turning round on the dog and lambs will double back.

far easier to let them drift into a new area and shut the gate behind them.

have you not got any sheepy neighbours who could come and give you a look and a kindly word in exchange for some beer or cider? Or maybe an offer to help out in exchange.

If the dog has “feel” for sheep and power its a non issue

If all else fails, split them into maybe 3 more manageable size groups (with their own lambs) and try that. Once they know the route you might be able to move them as one next time.
