Trima +4.1 removal

Hi,

Have a Fendt 516 with a Trima +4.1. Never really tried detaching it until today, but seemed stuck, and the procedure in the manual didnt quite work. I was worried the legs would be damaged if i tried to roll the bucket and more (the front wheels almost came off the ground!). So there is this green handle that youre supposed to pull back, and at that point its just letting the bucket hit the ground with the nose first, and then roll the bucket back right? Anyone have any tips? It didnt budge when i tried, but the green lever really didnt go any further back, as the loader frame got in the way

Bump, attached a picture of the lever. If i pull that up, nothing happens when i roll back the bucket on the legs?

No experience with a trima, but with my sigma I put bucket flat on the ground and push it down ever so slightly to get loader boom loose on the sub frame then roll up bucket

That little green knob is a lock to hold the the actual pin in place you realise that don’t you? You’ve pulled the pins out that has the black plastic handle?

Set the legs to the 5th possibley 4th notch pull the locking pins the legs should be on the ground with the bucket just off the ground crowd up if it’s not push joystick forward and loader should pop up and off

can do mine in less than a minute but I’m on my third so done it loads of times

If its like the older trima bucket on floor, front edge of bucket on floor back of bucket 100mm off floor (ish). Legs down onto floor then with locking handles released pushing loader boom down will move the posts forward. Then crowd bucket will lift loader clear. Do it on flat ground with handbrake off. If anything seems to take any force you've got something wrong. Have a look in YouTube there'll be a video.

Once you’ve worked it out and done it a few times it’s easy I take mine on and off nearly every day

Yea, the green knob has to be pulled out before i can move the lever up, so seems to be correct ref the manual - but i guess im doing something wrong with the hydraulics, the frame wont budge :O

Oh and that picture you’ve putting on isn’t a lever it’s a pin pull it out

That lever is a pin pull it out and stick it in the round holder next to the hole

Put plenty grease on the pins and contact points of the loader brackets so it’s easier next time to

Also when you do get it off leave the loader low enough for you to be able to pull back into it with the brackets rather than having to lower it around the bracket if you see what I mean ? If you don’t drop it on dead flat ground it could twist as you try and lower it back over the brackets and you will end up shunting around trying to line it up good tip is drop it near a wall so if your not quite square you can give it a nudge against the wall to help, as @michael N123 says once you’ve done it a few times it’s as easy as can be

If you can move the pins they should come out easily have the loader and legs a few inches off the floor before you pull them out

And just be careful it doesn’t come off on the twist and hit your bonnet

Forgot to mention last night when you put it back on drop it onto the holders by crowding the bucket then pull joystick back lifting loader until legs are off ground before trying to put pins in (it’s a lot easier with the new spring loaded auto lock ones)

and put grease on all contact points and the pins for next time

My old one I welded a hoop on the end of the pins so it pulled straight out rather than from one side Helped a little bit

Yep, just tried - the pins move way easier after some greasing, now ill just need to learn how to get it back on Fun, albeit embarrassing little evening project. Thanks again, this forum knows all!
