trimble 1050 vs 750 lite

thinking of getting another lighter for the sprayer it would need to be able to communicate with my existing 750 on the drill tractor and upgradable to section control.

if i went for the 1050 would i be able to edit my ab lines better? not sure how much more the 1050 is

You might have comparability issue if you want to transfer AB lines from a 1050 to your 750. Seems that AB lines can't be directly transfered between a 2050 and 750.

I'm guessing you don't have a desktop program (e.g. farmworks) for editing field data.

I guess it was only Trimble with some old screen that managed to keep all waylines very safe (deleting faulty lines was not possible). Should be fine with any brand today.

If you only have AB-lines, most displays allow manual entry. Feasible for a few tens of fields, not for hundreds of fields. Just need to read old AB-lines from the display or from the backup-data (if readable, my screens allow this).

Agreed.
There is a conversion “tool” in the import screen of the XCN-1050 which ensures there is compatibility.

I just installled an XCN1050 and I am trying to import AB lines.

I have an XCN 1050 and I am trying to import fields with AB lines from my desktop software. The files are in the AgGPS folder as I use them for the AFS 700 and CFX 750 and they work fine there. However, the XCN 1050 only reads the fields and the boundary but when I try to activate the AB line it tells me this type of lines is not supported. Where is this import feature located?

Well I bought a lite 750 in the end and I'm very pleased with it
