Trimble 750 - amazone amaset

Hi,

Recently purchased a new to me amazone sprayer with an amaset control box for section control etc, is it easy to link it to my Trimble 750 for coverage/section control?

If you get in touch with Vantage E & W on 01480 861824, they will be able to help. They are the main Trimble re-seller and support company for England and Wales.

it was going to cost me £4200 to make my amaset box have section control and rate control in March 18 linked to my fm750 needless to say it didn’t happen. I run a cable back from one of the extra solenoid plugs on the back of the sprayer and connected to the external coverage switch through a relay so I’ve full width mapping if I’ve the 7th section turned on

The sprayer is not on Isobus I assume if you have amaset? Sorry I'm not familiar with this even if we have an Amazone sprayer but it comes with a GPS Switch box and Amatron+. I've seen GPS Switch screens on sale at much less than 1000 Euros but perhaps it does not work with the Amaset box.

The amaset is the bog standard box set at a pressure and drive at correct speed if you speed up you up pressure manually to what it should be think you need a minimum of amatron to work Amazon’s GPS switch my quote was to work it all through Trimble technology

We have an Amaspray box. It has also automatic rate control where as Amaset has only manual rate control.

To be able to use the Trimble CFX-750 with a Field-IQ for section control our Amaspray box was modified by the local Trimble importer service department.

They installed small micro relays parallel to the section switches inside the Amaspray box. The rate control is still done by the Amaspray.

So there is a new wire coming out of the Amaspray box and we plug it to the Field-IQ.

It's a 5 section sprayer. The cost of their modification plus plugs needed was less than 500 €.
But you would also need a Field-IQ for the CFX-750 (or an Ez-Boom if U happened to have an old Ez-Guide 500).

On my Amazone TS spreader I have had trouble with the Starfire 3000 dome talking to the amatron box, even though it was okay last year. Dealer has just fitted an Amazone 'dome' which will talk to the amatron for speed and shutoff purposes. They tell me it is about £1000. Much cheaper than a Trimble unlock - robbing barstaff.(I also have Trimble stuff)

i dont understand what kind of setup what you got but it sound like you just need nmea (gps signal) to a amazone gps switch box and thats no unlock in the trimble screen. you just need a 67091 cabel from the cfx screen or a simple rs 232 cabel if you got trimble autopilot and the correct settings.
