Trimble 750

The XCN 750 is the same as the Trimble GFX 350? I've been looking online at them and the NAV 500 alone is about $1000, have a nephew doing the harvest trail and considering asking him to bring the screen and antenna back in his suitcase.

How do you find the XCN 750? Are you running Viewpoint RTX or just EGNOS?

I have a trimbe xcn 750. Its missing its roof attena. Is there any other ones that would fit without being too expensive

I believe the roof antenna has a lot of the brains in it so would have to be trimble (or nh / case badged equivalent).

Had a NH badged version of the 750 for 3 months now and getting on well with it, much easier to work than the older 750.

The New Holland XCN 750 is the same asTrimble GFX 350, smaller 7" screen than the GFX 750. We already run the GFX 750 doing contract fert spreading and drilling but looking at a 2nd smaller unit for GPS output mainly for sprayer tramlines and maybe retrofitting to combine with an EZ steer. I read a user comment on FB that Viewpoint RTX would give 2" pass to pass which I'd be more than happy with on combine but can't find many other reviews or opinions on it.

The antenna/receiver comes as a separate item in it's own box as the GFX350/XCN750 can be used with either the nav500 or nav900.
Best be having a word with whoever you got it from.

I recently bought an ez pilot with cfx750 screen 2nd hand. We have been using it today topping some failed osr!
Not overly impressed with it at the moment, you have to be near enough right on the line for it to pick it up and it lost signal today so my chap started steering manually instead. It runs on rangepoint, are there software upgrades or setting so it picks up the line further away? Thanks

We will have to have another look at it. Trouble is we have been spoilt with a built in system shared between the combine and main tractor which is far superior I think. Picks up lines no prob and works in reverse etc.
Having to get more or less bang on the line for it to work is a pain in the .........! That does need sorting one way or another, especially if dad jumps on.
We have altered it to the lowest forward speed 1.6km to allow switch on.

You need to change the settings as @clbarclay says 👍

I'm not certain on the 750, but on some Trimble devices there is a settings for maximum distance and angle off line the system will engage steering at. I just set them to the maximums it will allow.
Short answer is no, I’ve had one for 4 years and your right you nearly need to be bang on line before it wii engage. Compared to full auto steer it’s rubbish but once online it’s every bit as good, I’m told ezpilot is no better just nicer to look at but ezpilot pro is as good as autosteer but doesn’t work with a cfx you need a GFX

You should be able to change this in the settings without buying anything. If you go through the calibration settings you will see some options for approach and aggressiveness. I put in a link to the user manual for the CFX-750
