Trimble autosteer help

Hi

I installed a Trimble TMX 2050 screen with ez steer in my MF 7718.

It was used and came with a RTX subscription that lasted through the spring season.

Hard to find the exact words in English, but here it goes: within my fields I have ups and downs, and when I go over a small top in the field, the autosteer goes off the line. Then it overlaps the other way. See attached photo. This happens when drilling(horsch on the linkage arms) and when spraying or broadcasting fert. Same problem when you go across "downs" in the field.

Its quite bad too. I guess the missed spots are about 50cm or more.

So, it does not seem to be implement specific.

Any ideas?

As above perform a roll cal, but I would probably calibrate the motor first. Have you checked track rod end/ tie rods all tight? No play in the steering?

As above roll calibration. Also make sure measurements are correct of how far receiver is mounted and the implement length etc and if trailed or mounted. Are you sure rtx subscription is still current? Otherwise it will be running on egnos!

Thanks for replies!

Roll calibration is simply the calibration when you park the tractor on flat surface, mark it and turn around? I’ve done this many times.

I read in some instruction that you engage autosteer in the field and repeat back and forth on same a-b line, measuring distance between tracks. But this seems to apply to ez pilot, not ez steer?

when i sort out the issue, i will probably get the rtx sub

No point trying to calibrate on WAAS/EGNOS needs to be done on atleast an RTX signal. Sort the sub first then re calibrate.
The cal needs to be done on one A B line and yes engage auto steer drive 30 40 metres away from marked point turn round and drive back to the mark and measure

I did order RTX, but wanted to have a go right away.

I guess it must be this cross track error function? Ive driven back and forth a few times and it seems to help?

I cant find anything about this in the manual. The manual about roll calibration does seem to be to another software version perhaps? Cant find what its referring to.

Hi

Im using ez steer with this T2 controller. Ez steer does not have this roll correction calibration mention earlier in this thread. Only roll calibration is when you park, and turn around.
Talked to the dealer and they are more or less blaming the ez steer. Its simply not good enough.

What I find odd is that the screen displays the error, but does nothing to correct it.

I dont know. Thought plenty were drilling with this. My friends got greenstar aftermarket atu and free signal. Works very well.

Im a direct driller so its kind of worthless at the moment
