The new GFX display from Trimble has been more than impressive and with the new Nav 900 makes it an easier install. I'm sure that your local dealer would be able to provide more information.

I have just upgraded from CFX750 on RTK to GFX750 on 'Centerpoint Fast' on my 13 yr old Bateman. After the tests I have done in the yard and down the tracks it is much much better at finding the line and getting on it straight away. I have been assured that the drift is minimal, but I will report back when I have another go. Unless you are on CT or veg then this might be the option to use.

From the Trimble website it appears the CentrePoint Fast annual sub is £1150. Thats more than a lot of RTK subs.

Was there a substantial premium to unlock full RTK over CentrePoint?

You need an RTK unlock to use Centerpoint fast.
I thought the sub was only £650, maybe that was a special offer.

Maybe they offer a discount for the first year when your buy the gear, but thereafter it goes back to standard pricing?

Be interested to know why @snarling bee moved away from RTK if the unlock was the same cost for CentrePoint Fast. Surely RTK is superior in just about every way, including sub cost if you shop carefully.

I paid £650 for Centrepoint Fast last autumn and I am under the impression it remains at that price in the future for me. I was told it was a special offer to get more people going on it. It will drop out right under a big tree, but picks up again so quickly it's not a big issue and no dead spots to worry about like RTK.

am getting Rangepoint RTX with mine anyways.
can always upgrade things at a later date if it doesnt do the job....

Cannot interpret that, whose comment did you address? I assume "with mine" refers to the CFX-750 as in the thread title.

You can upgrade by swapping hardware but upgrading your CFX-750 seems to have a significant restriction on selecting the least expensive RTK correction signal source.

As ive mentioned in the past. What annoys me with trimble pricing is that in Ireland or France etc, the same sub is 995 euros per year which is a difference of approx £273 at current exchange rate. Used to be a greater difference when exchange rate was better!
Thought it came from same satellites ?
Hence i am still sticking with rangepoint rtx.

It says 15cm pass to pass in the description, but ours always runs at 2-5cm when your engaged on the line. Its the time to acquire signal and how much the lines move over time that are the main differences to a more expensive system.
@Farma Parma have you put pen to paper on a GFX 750 system then?
Yeah ordered it last week. v happy with deal thru local dealers compared to quote on older CFX-750 from 9months ago
quite a diff on quotes. maybes a promotion on new kit i dunno. Hopefully i wont need to up the service then.
