Trimble TMX2050 Coverage mapping, Horsch Muller basic terminal

Hi all

Was wandering whether its possible to get coverage mapping to work on a display without a switch on the implement. Anyone know if you could get a signal from the Muller box when the rollers on the drill are active?

Not much help, but the drill man here did manual coverage logging with an FM750 and Basic Terminal, with the addition of manually turning logging off on tramlines to make counting back / checking easier. Crude but effective.

Is it an Isobus drill? I guess not running section control via the TMX screen.

I've put a proximity switch to the rear of the drill. Tapping to the drill pressure switch would be an option but I didn't want to touch the original wiring as seeding starts/stops incorrectly in case of any malfunction in the modified wiring.

Did you buy an OEM wiring harness? Do you know which pins to use on the TM200?

From what I undertand its an Isobus drill, but it comes with the Mullers screen and a wirings harness with connection like this:

There are two serial connections on the back of the Muller screen. Maybe they provide signals?

We're not using the TM200 screen but a TOPCON X30 where we use an external coverage switch. We actually use the Touch 800 screen but I doub't either one would provide a coverage signal output via a serial port.

Indeed an Isobus drill.

Thanks for the tip. Sounds like a good idea to try the pressure sensor. It would probably also work with different types of implements.

I guess the sensor must hook up to one of the connectors on the tm200 wiring loom. Great if you know which one, and which pins @AdamHoggard 😁

The sensor in the link above has a Deutsch DTM 12 pin plug, so will plug into the back of a Trimble screen, in the instance of TMX 2050/TM-200 module it has to plug into P5 or P6 on the TM-200 wiring harness (so would need an adapter or new plug fitting).
