Triton direct seed drill

I have not seen a Triton on farm in the wet..... but there is one a mile away, trying to establish WW (i assume) on some mad clay.
Despite the fact that we have had 50-60% the rain of S Lincs, we are past the stage where a drill could be expected to succeed in any clay based soil IMO....i eagerly await reports of great things, but not holding my breath.

Just a thought, a lot of wire scrapers on the Freeflows are replaced with a hefty bit of angle iron, the wire ropes, though strong, do break quite easily. Next job on my Freeflow is to get the angle iron conversion sorted, most of the wire ropes broke this year.
Do you have any pictures?

I bet delivery for new orders now are 2025 right now. I wonder if they are giving away a flail mower with every drill like mizuri. [emoji23]
triton don't need to have gimmicks, approximately one a day left his farm this month. got a C in english A in math's engineering and biology. spelling no good at all, it let me down, cannot be good at everything.the delivery date came from the man that bought the drill, offed to help if needed with advice on settings, talked to simon today about my drill, there are now 4m 4,8m and 6 meter folding drills out now going to have my drill up dated 2020 spek, would love a 4.8 folding but my tractor would not pull it in wet clay,on my lighter soil would walk away with it. not buying a bigger tractor, have to keep some profit !! triton have sold all their farm drills and the demo, been replaced for spring. trying to get as many drills out their as they can. triton users help each other with settings. feed in information receive information back. its a bit like claydon

9can triton trust you not to give them the worst side of the field and put on same inputs???

im sure with clives past experiences with drill trials he would be more than fair as he has been in the past. if the triton is so good then this is a perfect marketing exercise for them. look at how much his previous trials propelled the 750 a in this country

With all these other drills sold it’s a wonder at least some of the new owners are not members on here, looking to sing the praises of the machine, and spread the good work of Triton, knowing how much the owners “help” each other and exchange information.

triton texted me back,(if he wants to test his drill rig out we will leave him section of our heaviest gray clay in a 5o ha block,2 year black grass fallow option area near wellingborough. he should come on 15th feb when we will be drilling it. the land lies wet with impeded drainage and has been unmoved for 2 years) this is perfect for a triton, keep the tractor on top and triton drills, demo drill sold, cannot sell my drill, have to keep it 5 year, so having to up rated to 2020 spek, putting on rear harrow and forward and rear cranked legs,to direct drill into chopped cover crops

Taking the pi*s out of people spelling isn’t fair in my book. That’s to personal and just mean. It’s tough if it’s not your thing so don’t justify it to others. Triton sound to good to be true. You should take clive up on an unbiased trial.

What settings? I thought it was either up or down!
strait blades for min disturbance. cranked blades for when to wet to run rear wheels on ground, winged blades for high disturbance,in solid ground lifts and loosens full width of drill, long blades for deeper drainage, then the type of blades for side press tines narrow ,wide , long, for amount of side compaction running side press legs deep or shallow ,rear harrow only levels it up a bit, can run with no wheels on with cranked blades and good depth control on tractor, you put on the drill what you need for you soil type can run different types of blades on one drill eg just wing blades at back of tractor wheels to liffed soil to leave it level on ploughing

How many types of blades are there? Seems very complicated.

The cynic in me would say that Triton would say that any failure would be down to poor choice of appropriate choice of blades by operator or farmer. #nocomeback #sneaky
