Interested to know why the Triton would not be any good in a normal season?
my triton drills oil seed rape through to spring beans wet or dry, not as level on ploughing as power harrow drill, always had good results, do not plant plant to deep. drills on ploughing through to direct drilling

Just read an article in the farmers favourite rentaquote publication about aminoa and the subsequent need for only tuppence hapenny on real fungicides and thought I'd not heard much on the Drill Of Champions lately.....

Another gem to add to the gift that keeps on giving-

"In many instances a Triton has paid for itself by drilling just one field of late wheat, in just one year.."

It will be becoming obsolete with this dry weather.
Nah, "the unique penetration of the Triton tine guarentees 100% establishment in boulder dry and hard conditions, the design of the side press combined with 5ltrs/ha of Aminoa every week* sucks up enough water to give 10t/ha crops of Blackgrsss free Spring Wheat drilled in May"

*applied in 10,000ltr/ha of water.

The other feedback I got is that you would never use it in a normal year into normally moist soils, it really is a proper wet weather thing and I guess that how is they are marketing it for November drilling every year.

Done a grand job here on spring wheat in April into a dust bowl.
