I'm reliably informed it has been discontinued, unfortunatelyIs it no longer available, or just temporarily unavailable like lots of other things?
I heard this week that ewe sponges & CIDRs are almost out anywhere, so have been scrabbling round trying to source for my ET program later. PMSG was the same earlier in the year too.
Lots of stuff is being held up by various supply or manufacturing issues.
I wonder why? That really isn’t a great move, treatment options for fluke are limited enough as it is, especially for those that have resistance issues with triclabendazole.I'm reliably informed it has been discontinued, unfortunately

Bad in what way? Other than the stoppers not sealing and getting covered in the stuff. There's been a lot of problems this past 4 or 5 years, with bad batches. Trodax has been off the shelves more often than on, over this time
It's a shame but I'm not surprised - I expected the plug to have been pulled before now...
The drug is there so HOPEFULLY someone else steps in to produce it... no doubt Elanco, keeping us bent over that barrel - and they won't even lube us for their privilege

It’s only hard on them because it’s effective, kills all the fluke very quickly and leaves the body with a big clean up task, the key is not to let them get too infested to start with.I’ve not had a great lot to do with Trodax but most folks say it’s a very good product
Was told by a college that it’s very hard on ewes if they have fluke
Considering you can only treat them with it when they have it that’s not too appealing
It does a good job....the only ones it will be too harsh on is the odd one that is better off gone.I’ve not had a great lot to do with Trodax but most folks say it’s a very good product

Some of the land I farm I need to dose for fluke every five weeks from October until MayIt's worth getting a muck sample tested for fluke, since doing this have been able to avoid a lot of routine fluke drenching and only dose when they definitely need it
