if its for sheep...we use these ..14 litre ...small capacity ,easy to clean out , ...just lay thyem on the ground or on a concrete block and tip it to clean
one screw just takes the cover off the float box to service .and upright ....unlike the plastic one ..


but the best thing in practice is that the float stops rigid ..not dribble on ...unlike some of the plastic ones we tried.

Have 1 of those fitted for cattle in a tempoary shed, they haven't killed it so far.....

I have had some terrible plastic troughs where access to the float valve is ridiculous.

They are 1/2" reading this and it may be cheaper if you order from amazon as you have delivery below 100 squids on the diy website (their selling on amazon for 64.99 and 66.99 from diy shop?). Also, it reads as though you get the fitting as well on amazon?
