It's been painted. VERY painted!Leyland is very shiny?
Ford was a proper truck, the steering wheel is on the ditch side, must have been a road sweeper ...........
I'm sure read somewhere that there was very little Ford in them - they were just bitsas to fill a gap in they're range until development of the Cargo was complete.Never heard that, right enough they had Cummins fitted (mostly 335 here), but apart from that, I don't know.
Berliet and Renault shared the cab and the electrics were a bit oddball, with bits 12Volt and other bits 24Volts.
Cavanagh's Fermoy Co.Cork were the only dealers here for them, only a handful sold. But that was back when Leyland had the Buffalo/Marathon .........
The last of them were built at Foden, they were originally assembled at a Ford plant near RotterdamDidn't Foden (or somebody similar) build the big Fords?
