But he's damned right. You cannot impeach an ex president under the US constitution. Only the hard of thinking would consider that you could. It's written down. I don't like or rate the guy but he was absolutely correct.

That might hold water if they hadn't already just has a vote where it was agreed to be constitutional!

In your opinion maybe. But in the opinion of the people that decide these matters....it is.
Well it's there in black and white and that's why they lost and no I'm not going to quote chapter and verse of the US constitution. Go look it up. They were wrong. They lost. The end. A moronic charade.

Mitch McConnell is a right gas man. After the riots, he comes out all guns blazing, and puts the responsibility right on Trump’s table. Not alone that, but he subsequently votes for impeachment. Then when the Dem’s try to get the trial up and running while Trump is still in office, McConnell frustrates and blocks that.
So Trump has to be tried after he leaves office. Then McConnell votes against sanction, as he says the trial is unconstitutional as Trump has left office. One hour later, he again calls Trump guilty as hell.
God bless America.

A bit like Chatholicism and Leo Varaddkar, that guy must have been standing on his head break dancing most of his life to wheedle his way to the top.

But I guess that at least knowing you are bat sh@t crazy is almost as good as being sane, maybe ?

75 million Americans & myself ( so far anyway ) are welcoming the result.
It was a show trial to illustrate that the man was unstable. Of course you cannot impeach a man who is no longer in office. If somebody as erratic as Trump ran for office in the UK I would be worried but having said that....some very strange beings have been running this country for some years.

Blair, Brown, Cameron, May. All seem to be from some sort of gayboy club. I've had my doubts about Boris but so far, so good.

HIS Supreme Court! Thought he had it packed with yes men and women.
The good thing about the Supreme court is once a judge is on it , who put him there tends to become irrelevant and they do what they think is correct.
(CNN)The Supreme Court's rejection 🖕of Donald Trump's attempts to keep his tax returns out of the hands of Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance is a potent reminder of this fact: The former President is in real legal jeopardy -- on a number of fronts
