I dare you to tell any woman you think is not spending her time wisely that it must be because her appearance makes her look ill and that she needs a man so that she can do actual important things.

I then hope your reflexes are quick because your balls are going to be a prime target.

You can consider yourself added to my mental list of stupid sh!t men say about women.
Better put me on that list then

Thinking or even knowing what to do isn't good enough, knowing what needs to be done and doing it is the only way to progress for a positive change.
And one thinks the psuedo green agenda is nothing more than a poorly disguised, failed red agenda???
Ah, but how do we agree on what is to be done when there is so much debate on what the problem actually is?

they have a lot in common representing all that is wrong in modern politics and media
Both of which have been shaped to a great extent by that great god Technology, certainly the media in its desperate attempts to find sensationalist content that attracts clicks but doesn't offend the advertisers.

It’s common for certain people or groups to use the viewing public’s consciousness to get what they want (usually money) this is just another one of these cases

I think she is a breath of fresh air. All parents with young daughters should be grateful to this young lady.

We live in a time where the media portray the image that young girls/ladies should be skinny, caked in make up, with fake boobs and lips. Please take a look at Love Island tonight. Intelligence is no longer seen as important. This has created massive mental health and anxiety issues amongst young girls within the UK. Unfortunately suicidal thoughts are common.

This girl has come along wearing sensible clothes which actually cover her body, without any plastic surgery and has made it acceptable to be normal, speak with confidence and not to care about what others may think.

I would much rather my daughter used her as a role model opposed to Jordan :D.

Like her or not, i actually agree with a lot she has to say, but i fear most of it will on deaf ears, political leaders are only concerned about money and growing economies, as are a lot of individuals, it doesn't take a genius to realise we can't continue at this rate,

Not only that, but anything which is going to have a real effect is going to have a negative impact on most aspects of people’s lives, and therefore be unpopular. At the moment I don’t see an appetite for this, so it would be political suicide for any government.

I'd much rather have my daughters think for themselves, and they do, neither are impressed by trashy TV or the projection of any sort of role model by the mainstream media.

Much of what they say is actually true, we choose not to accept it as it will have a negative financial impact upon us.

You might choose to accept it just as some choose to believe in turning water into wine, and there may be some truth in both, but I'll be buggered if I am going to be steamrollered into accepting the crap they spout as some sort of mystical cure which just happens to suit those who are very rich already. It's all about the money and if the greens really want to demonstrate their integrity then lets see them organise an anti coal protest march in Tiananmen Square rather than fart about pretending they have the answer just so long as the plebs in the west buy into their scam.

I have viewed the entire Davos speech
Greta is impressive in a confidence context given her age, however there is little substance to the actual speech, is disjointed and is preachy, petulant and very naive in its content, demands and timeframe of the ‘demands’. It shows a complete misunderstanding of intergovernmental political relationships and socioeconomics.
Hell, the Brexit negotiations illustrate just how difficult and complicated these can be.
Serious politics needs serious politicians and I don’t think Greta is.
I don’t question the motive, conviction or sentiments but I do question the delivery.
The issue of emissions is serious and should be taken to be so rather than dumbed down as it is by this. I think this is shown here where we are largely talking about her rather than the issue she is trying to represent.
I wish her well but doubt she will be any more than a headline of the time.

Perhaps it might also be questioned as to just how a 16 year old schoolgirl found such a platform to parrot the guff which just happens to suit big money? We might also ask whether there are other girls out there who might have something to say about the state of the world. Perhaps the 4 YO who was held at gunpoint while her mother was raped in a refugee camp? Oh, just remembered they then burnt the tent, killing her in the process. Never mind, there is just a chance that the 15 year old with a baby who has no means of support other than dig for cobalt for 50p a day may still be alive. How come we don't hear their stories but are regaled with the soppy crap from some nice little middle class schoolgirl? Is it because she just happens to be white while the others are just darkies in the middle of Africa somewhere, do we also need to think of the pseudo greens and even UN as being racist as well as drunk on power and money?
