That’s why you were running late that day, too busy taking pictures!

Ha Ha :D:D:DSeldom been as wet. Took 2 before we started and 1 of the opening and 2 as we finished.
2 pockets of really big cobbles along the line of the rig to dig out. Told the steward and he said ‘it’s the same for everybody’ Cast off to a rig bent and out of square. Rest is history. Still won but missed out on overall champion by 4 points I think. Happy days!

Joys of match ploughing! Managed to give myself the most horrendous plot at our own match last year certainly couldn’t be accused of picking my plot!

Without a shadow of a doubt the best about at the minute. Rarely beaten by ploughmen, when beaten its usually by the judge and usually for a reason known only to themselves.

John Hooson quotes £220 and has the original in voice for his 86 on RWM’s, not sure of year it was bought though, quite a few knocking around in Wales, the Welsh farmers bought them and used them to plough the farm and for ploughing matches, only 2 that I know of in Shropshire, mine and Mike Holloway is back in classic with one, there may be more, Hereford contains a fair few too

Was talking to one of my customers last week, He bought one of these that did not go to the world match in 1968

has RWM's and TCN's not used it for 20 odd years due to the start of the classic class (tractor to young).

interesting reading ;)

how about bonning bodies ? What frame do they perform best on ?

Opinion pro's and con's

cheers

Would have to be a TS97. Easier to use with the cross shaft in front of the frame. Has a marked effect on where the plough is in relation to the tractor. Made for the job by the man in Question. One of the all time gentlemen of ploughing. Lots of guys had them on 86’s but the frame needs to be wider and they usually had their own legs which were very similar to those on a 64, slightly longer but with square top corners.
I know a fellow......just bought one (TS86 with Bonnings on)not a million miles from hereabouts.
