Tub mixer magnet

Thinking to put a tub magnet in. Using a forage wagon more recently and bales.
rs agri want £750 for kit. Any other suggestions On suppliers or disadvantages Thanks

Quite a fan of RS Agri but that sounds savage, we got a full shelbourne reynolds kit for ours and it was around half that.

As said biggest problem is getting stuff off it.

Be careful. There are many different strengths of magnets!! Check out what spec’ for what price. Also positioning of magnets is also an issue of much debate!

Good point with positioning although one would hope that the manufacturers would rigorously test them for efficacy
Iirc the RS ones are sighted within the tub whilst the ones on our Trioliet are on the exit shoot. At a guess, I would say the RS would pull out more metal

Our last keenan came with magnets....amazing how much they catch....i don't believe they catch everything obviously but amazing what you find on them.....won't regret putting them on in my opinion.... If it saves 1 cow in its life it's paid for itself
