A wet morning through the UK. The rain will clear the east of England fairly quickly although it is expected to linger across Scotland throughout the day. The far north of Scotland starts dry, rain later here during the morning, while the far south tends to become somewhat drier in the afternoon. It is will become very windy and increasingly colder in the north .
Outlook for the rest of the week: changeable at times with snow over the high ground temps below average.
