Went to see a group of 25 ewe lambs today, that are away on winter grazing and found a neighbour's tup in amongst them. Went to see the owner of the tup who said it's been in 3/4 times with them over the last couple of months, but couldn't see a problem as there only ewe lambs!!, aparently he keeps climbing up a wall and jumping the fence , can you jag them to make them abort? Thanks

Yes you can ---with Cyclix but i think you need to wait 12 days after the ram was taken out
Not sure at what stages of pregnancy it works
Check with your vet

Is it a problem though? I know some people won’t tup you lambs but then others like me won’t keep any that havnt lambed as ewe lambs. Shoot the ram, it probably has/carries scab.

Get them jabbed and make him foot the bill. What ram was it ? . I wouldn’t want to lamb ewe lambs without knowing what the ram lambed like , could be whole lot of trouble you don’t want / need.

We have just had exact same happen with 6/7 ram lambs and we have now along side the rams owners put an insurance claim in for all the drugs and vet time involved soon adds up.

Was planning to sell them as gimmers don't want there growth stunted, the wife's 2 blue du mains were in there as well, can't see a blackie making a good cross with them. Don't work at home so don't want to be taking time off to lamb so few

Was a blackie tup , going to speak to the vet tomorrow and go from there, can't be bothered with the hassle of lambing them out of sync with our others
