could you not have pallet bunds, years ago when i worked in water treatment we had chemicals on pallets which were kind of grid tops with a shallow bund beneath, very hand and they can then easily be moved you could just boom them into your container.

google pallet bund trhere not dear and a hell of alot easier than fecking about

Wooden floor is fine according to our red tractor assessor we set a 20 foot container up and chem store maybe 4 years ago dont need a lip at the front just put the front 3 inch higher than the back. We have ibc on one side lifted in with loadall

What about the bund part, are you putting something across the door, I've got a smart container to do the same too, seems a shame to rip up the floor, but rather not step over a step every time...

Ours has wooden floor and passes RT inspections, have it split inside 2/3 with false wall and door, insulated with 3x2 plus 1/2” ply and rock wool stud wall then shelved out for chems, other 1/3 of it has solway type bin and draining rack for empties, just have a bit of angle iron screwed to floor with sealant under it for bund

The main consideration is, if there is a fire in here and everything melts or burns (I doubt many agchems are actually flammable these days- the most combustive part of them is now surely the can they are in), where is the liquid that collects going to collect and then go?

An internal sump/bund is best. Wooden racking is allowed, the main concern is that the door and structure should resist fire (and provide security) for long enough for the fire brigade to get there and have a chance to do something about it.
